Despite its compact size, Uganda presents a remarkable variety of safari opportunities. The country boasts ten national parks, over 1,000 bird species, and 340 mammal species. Notable national parks include Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Murchison Falls National Park, the largest in Uganda, is home to the Nile River, which is acknowledged as the longest river in the world. Queen Elizabeth National Park is well-known for its distinctive tree-climbing lions, whereas Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to half of the remaining mountain gorilla population worldwide.
